About Natalie
To say that Glasgow Based singer Natalie James enjoys singing is a massive understatement. Natalie is PASSIONATE about her singing and has been since she was a little girl. So it should come as no surprise then that Natalie went on to study for 3 years at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama (RSAMD) where she achieved a BA (contemporary theatre practice).
After her time at the RSAMD Natalie enjoyed many notable successes in her musical career- which continues to this day. She can claim two top ten hits in the Scottish Charts following which she was signed to the worldwide music label EMI for 2 years when she joined the Dutch pop/rock group BAD CANDY.
Those 2 years with the group earned Natalie top ten chart hits, an album, her own TV show which aired on Nickelodeon and she also won her first award for “Best Pop Group” of 2005 stealing the prize from the pop group Black Eyed Peas. This then led to Natalie performing for thousands in arenas the length and breadth of Holland and Germany.
Being an English speaker and with her thorough knowledge of music, in 2006 Natalie was chosen to become the English Coach on the Dutch version of the X Factor.
Natalie's Hosting Credits Inculde, The Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice, DEBRA, Glasgow's Spirit Of Chritmas Awards and Onrade Scotland Hospitality Awards.
In 2017, Natalie appeared on the very popular BBC1 Saturday night programme PITCH BATTLE in the group SCOTSOUL where she both sang with the group and as a soloist. PITCH BATTLE came third in the UK. The highlight of the show for Natalie was when she performed alongside soul diva CHAKA KHAN. In 2022 Natalie ventured to London to perform for BBC CHILDREN IN NEED with choirmaster GARETH MALONE. She now continues to perform all over the country doing what she loves. Recently Natalie has worked with some well known brands over the country these include NEW LOOK, EMIRATES, CHILDREN IN NEED AND FAKE BAKE. Her recent hosting credits are THE PRINCE AND PRINCESS OF WALES HOSPICE, THE DEBRA FOUNDATION, GLASGOWS SPIRIT OF CHRISTMAS AND ONTRADE SCOTLAND HOSPITALITY AWARDS. In August 20204 Natalie shared the stage will well known 90S boy band EAST 17 to perform their smash hit STAY ANOTHER DAY.
